Momentum, Joy, and the Launch of One Move
There are moments in life you never forget. For me, one of them was opening the box and holding my book for the very first time. The weight of it in my hands wasn’t just paper and ink. It was years of experience, struggle, doubt, learning, and a relentless belief that even the smallest intentional move can change everything.
If you’ve followed my journey, you know this book has been years in the making. From my transition out of clinical dentistry, through the personal challenges that tested my resilience, to the coaching and speaking work that gave me new purpose, all of it has been leading to this moment.
And today, I’m humbled to share that One Move Makes All the Difference is officially available wherever books are sold.
Why Momentum Matters
Here’s the thing about change: it doesn’t come all at once. Momentum is built in small steps.
Psychologist Barbara Fredrickson describes this as the “broaden and build” effect: positive emotions expand our awareness and help us build resources for the future. Each small step forward fuels the next one.
That’s why the premise of One Move is simple. It doesn’t take a massive overhaul to change your life, your leadership, or your future. It takes a single intentional move. Do it once, and momentum takes care of the rest.
The TEAM Framework: Actions in Motion
In October and November, I wrote about Thoughts and Emotions, the first two elements of my TEAM™ framework. This month, it’s time to talk about Actions.
Actions are where intention becomes reality. A thought may inspire you, an emotion may nudge you, but action is the proof that change has begun.
The problem is, too many of us wait for perfect timing or complete confidence before we act. What One Move shows is that action doesn’t need to be perfect to be powerful. Even a small, imperfect move sets momentum in motion.
That’s what I love about what Jeff Civillico, Las Vegas headliner and philanthropist, said about the book:
“This book is a vibrant reminder that small, authentic actions can ignite massive change. Read this chapter, and you won’t just turn the page, you’ll turn a corner in your life.”
Your End-of-Year Reflection Exercise
Here’s a practice I’d love for you to try this month:
-
Reflect Back. Look at 2025. What was one intentional move you made that shifted something important in your life?
-
Notice Momentum. How did that one move ripple into other changes?
-
Set Forward. Choose one intentional move you want to carry into 2026. Keep it small. Keep it doable.
Momentum is not about doing more. It’s about doing one thing, consistently, that matters.
Final Thoughts
I can’t tell you how grateful I am to share this milestone with you. Writing One Move Makes All the Difference has been one of the hardest and most rewarding experiences of my life. And now, it’s yours to hold, to read, and, I hope, to use as a roadmap for your own journey.
